VP R&D

 A Media Group, investing in and working with global media and digital marketing companies & startups is looking for VP R&D 
, A strong tech leader that will manage local and offshore developers
The VP of R&D will be Building and maintaining high scale cost-effective Ad Tech stack on AWS and other cloud providers
With strong knowledge in both rational and non-rational databases, building data collection and analytics platforms
passion for data and bringing business impact
It is a one-man show role, which combines hands-on work and management of a team of 4-6 developers
The ideal candidate should have the ability to recruit and communicate with offshore developers
We are looking for an Architect that has a strong connection to the business and the product side
With both architectural and development skills

Requirements:
Node.js, Native JavaScript, react
Scala/Java is an advantage
Big Data in high scales
Rational and non-rational databases (Mysql, Redis, Mongodb, dynamodb)
AWS – a must
Experience in developing and implementing predictive algorithms for production environments – an advantage
MSc. or BSc. in Computer Sciences from a top university
7+ years of experience in software development
3+ years of leadership experience – managing offshore teams
Experience in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions on AWS, Linux platforms – A must
Team player, ‘can-do’ attitude, strong interpersonal skills
